Materials

I mainly used substance designer to create my materials for the "Abandoned Trail" Environment. Here i wanted to create a spongy moss with blooming flowers. I created my own alpha for the flowers, then ran it through a tile generator to get its randomness throughout the material.

This Material was a bit challenging. I knew i wanted to create an eroded path of some kind, one that looked as if water had cut through the stone of a mountain. I started with a base white color and kept chiseling away to create layers  of rock. Then for the bed of the erosion I masked off rocks as if they had been pushed to the side by the water to only be halted and caught on each other.

A concrete material made to look water damaged. The worn cracks weren't too challenging. This was the first material I created for the "Abandoned Trail" and was originally meant for a more post Apocalyptic environment

Worn down concrete wall, erosion is due to water damage over a course of time. This material was also used for the project "Abandoned Trail."

Wet mud made to look as if it has freshly caked over everything underneath. This is also a material made for "AbandonedTrail."

Stylized brick road made to look cartoon. I created this materiel when I was tasked with designing something that appeared hand painted. I had never done a style like this in designer before overall I am pleased with the result. To achieve the highlighted edges I ran the normal map through a curvature smooth. Then Tweaked the levels until all that was left were bright edges. Then Blended that the base color using a screen blend.
